Zhunang Ji enrolled at Abbey College Birmingham from Zhejiang Province, China, where he had been at high school.
He enrolled in the Lower 6th and gained AAA grades in the GCE A-level examinations in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. He also scored high marks in the Physics Olympiad.
He went on to read Engineering at the University of Cambridge.
Li Rui enrolled in the Lower 6th at Abbey College Birmingham from Shandong Province, China, where she had been at high school.
She enrolled in the Lower 6th and gained AAA grades the GCE A-level examinations in Accountancy, Business Studies and Physics.
She went on to read Accounting, Finance & Management at the University of Nottingham.

AS Repeats Mohammed came for interview at Abbey after he received his AS Level results in August 2007. He achieved CDEE in Government and Politics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics respectively. Mo had a dream of applying for a degree in a medical field, specifically Optometry or Dentistry, and in line with this dream, decided to retake his Lower Sixth year, knowing that his target grades would be AAAA. Mo decided to take new subjects of Business Studies and English Literature, alongside Biology and Chemistry, which added to his challenge. Today, he achieved AAAA in all four subjects, as a testament to his hard work and dedication to succeed.
After much thought, Ranjit decided to repeat his Lower Sixth year in order to maximise his chances of achieving the grades that would enable him to make an application for Medicine achieve the will enable make him to make an application to read for Medicine. At Abbey, Ranjit successfully turned AS grades of CCDE in Chemistry, Bio, Maths and Physics respectively into AAAB and is delighted with his results and the new platform from which he will spring into his A Levels this Autumn.
Nikhil joined Abbey in September 2006. He made a difficult decision to repeat his Lower Sixth year, as he had 4 C grades at AS. Once he made his decision and began to progress and achieve, he realised it was an excellent choice, especially when he received an offer of AAB to read for Dentistry at Cardiff. Having now achieved AAB in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Nikhil is delighted to have secured his place.

Students who came to our U6
Kim joined us for her Upper Sixth year, concerned that she was not en route to achieving her potential and securing a place at Dental School. In her Upper Sixth year, Kim not only turned her 3 Bs in AS biology, Chemistry and Mathematics into A grades but has now secured A grades across her A2 subjects meeting the requirements to take up her place at Birmingham to read for Dentistry. Well done Kim!

Retake students Farhaanah joined Abbey in September 2007 having, she felt, underperformed at A Level and missing out on her place to study for Medicine at Leicester. In a year, Farhaanah turned BBC into AAB and will, this year, be taking up that offer at Leicester Medical school.
Tom joined us in September 2007 and having been disappointed with his A Level attainment decided to retake Biology, in which he originally achieved a D grade, and took on the new challenge of Sociology in a year. Tom is now happy with his two new A grades and will be taking up a place to read Psychology at the University of London – Royal Holloway.
