Students sit a class test in each of their subjects every two weeks. The teachers record the scores and construct the academic profile and progress of each student. The college prepares academic reports twice each term; the reports are sent to parents or guardians, translated where necessary.

Students sit full mock examinations once every term. Their purpose is to give students practice with the demands of the GCSE and GCE examinations. They also form part of the college’s assessment process: students are entered for GCSE and GCE examinations on merit.

All students are assigned to a personal tutor who is responsible for a group of about 15 students. The tutor monitors academic progress, attendance and punctuality as well as attending to the problems encountered by his tutees.
