When I joined Abbey College Birmingham, there was a warm welcome and an introduction to the college. There was also an activity day to promote teamwork and help students get to know each other so that there is always a friendly atmosphere around college. I am also part of the cricket team that plays against other colleges and schools on a Wednesday afternoon. I really like the multi-cultural environment that encourages friendships and allowed me to understand lots of different cultures. I have found the teachers are always willing to help me when I ask. They sacrifice their own time, even when they are busy and provide a lot of revision materials to help prepare for the exams. There are also Personal Tutors who are there to help you if you have any problems at all and a UCAS coordinator who was really good at advising me about my profile and university choices.
