Honestly, I really enjoy my life at Abbey College Birmingham because the atmosphere is so different to my previous school. The teachers treat you as adults and you soon realise that college is the final step before going to university. The students and the teachers work towards the same goals - getting the best results to get you into university. You will find that the friends you make will also want to help you become a success. The support that you are given really makes you feel like they believe in you and helps you to stop worrying and just get on and do your best. The college also helps provide opportunities to develop your team work as well as working as an individual, so that you can become more responsible and organise your own time more efficiently.
The Personal Tutors and UCAS coordinator help you prepare your application by going through the personal statement and giving advice about courses and universities, but they also encourage you to find out as much as you can before making your choices. This support is especially useful if you don't really know what you want to study at university. I feel really lucky to have my Personal Tutor because she takes such a personal interest in me. She treats me like an adult and helped me with UCAS and to organise my time so that I can study and socialise with my friends. She is really interested in me and all aspects of my life here.
