In the June 2009 A-level examinations she was awarded a
Distinction in the Advanced Extension Award Mathematics paper
together with a grade 2 pass in the STEP Mathematics 1
paper. She also achieved a grade A pass at AS-level in Further
Mathematics (Additional).
She scored a total of 2345/2500 marks and a total of 640 UCAS
points.
She was awarded a Bronze II medal in the 2009-2010 Physics
Olympiad (round 2).
During the summer of 2009 she undertook an internship with a civil engineering company tasked with building a new highway linking a power station with Qingdao. She worked in the field as a junior assistant to one of the company's surveyors.
