A-Level Results 2013
Congratulations to our Class of 2013 A-Level, BTEC and GCSE students on another outstanding set of examination results. This continues to reflect our strong track record of guiding our students to academic success and enabling them to successfully move onto university courses of their choice. We are delighted to report that 30% of all exams taken were graded at A* to A, as well as 63% at A* to B. Our Science and Business BTEC Programmes were equally as successful with the majority of students gaining entry onto their first choice university courses. At GCSE level 12% of exams taken gained an A* grade and 22% an A* to A grade.
We are a dynamic, exciting college, situated in the heart of Manchester providing high quality, flexible A Level, BTEC and GCSE programmes. In addition, we also offer international students one or two year Foundation programmes in Business, Engineering or humanities.
60% of our students are from the Manchester area with the remainder being from a range of different countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Germany, Nigeria, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, China and others.
Our modern building provides an environment conducive to study and in our small classes each student can develop their individual aptitudes aided by a strong system of tutorial guidance.
Teaching and learning is rigorous whilst being creative and responsive to individual need. Our enrichment activities include sports, voluntary work, charity events and many other opportunities led by the students and staff. We encourage students to raise their own expectations and standards to the highest possible level. Staff, students and families get to know each other well and enjoy working together.
"I got help every step of the way while at the college. From my first visit to the college, induction and the teaching right through to the advice about applying to university and help with my application, the support was just so good. The college also gave me practice interviews to prepare for the real ones at university".
