DLD College London students put on a stellar performance at the annual winter concert this week. The show, themed ‘Glorious London’, was designed to celebrate spread Christmas cheer and celebrate the students’ notable successes from this past year.
Michael Brett played master of Ceremonies again this year, welcoming students, parents, staff and special guests to the college before announcing all the acts as they performed. The atrium was packed to the rafters and everyone enjoyed a packed bill of musicians, entertainers, singers, readings and the much anticipated yearly performance from the ukulele club.
Students were awarded various trophies for their academic and extra-curricular performances throughout the year and the prizes were given out by Baroness Perry of Southwark.
The entire concert was streamed live on the DLD website by the BTEC Digital Media Production team with student Emily Keogh presenting and interviewing each act after their performance.
Principal Rachel Borland said “Our students are remarkably talented and it is delightful to see them rewarded for their efforts. In terms of community, our college is harmonious and the Winter Concert presents the perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate those who have excelled. It was a truly special event.”
