Some Abbey College Manchester A-Level Business and Economic students have raised a tremendous £1,079 for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital during a challenging academic task. The students embraced the event completely. The students were sponsored to participate in a highly demanding ‘definition and diagram test’ in an attempt to raise much-needed funds for a project at the hospital. The project provides much needed specialist chairs for babies and children with extremely complex needs at the hospital, helping them to move around more freely and play rather than being confined to a bed.
The students were very determined and spent a great deal of time learning a series of very complex definitions and diagrams from the world of business and economics. After which they wrote them down and drew them under examination conditions in the sponsored task.
The college recently welcomed a representative from the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital to collect a cheque and she gave short presentation about the hospital and its important work.
Abbey College Manchester is very proud of our Business and Economics students for their determination and ambition when raising money for this worthy cause.
