“I joined Abbey College Manchester initially to study A-Levels. While I was able to cope with the academic demands I was not completely sure that I would be able to gain top grades in all subjects. I realised that a transfer to the IFP (Medicine Pathway) could open up more opportunities for me. The college has a strong reputation in getting students onto their first choice courses at university. My tutor helped me prepare my university application and gave me great advice on what to put on my personal statement. The college also arranged practice university interviews which was brilliant and prepared me for the real thing.

I studied units in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry as part of the programme, and the teachers gave me so much support on everything. Having gained the grade I need to UCLan is fantastic and means I can study what I have always dreamed about doing.”

Negar has gone to University of Central Lancashire to study Medicine.
