Our unique ‘Pre-Degree Diploma’ programme helps students prepare for the most competitive courses

It provides dedicated time to prepare your university application and gain deeper level knowledge and skills in the areas that you are interested in studying at university. You will be asked to study outside of the curriculum and at a higher level, with weekly reading and assignments set by tutors to direct your learning. We’ve switched from ‘students’ to ‘you’…I suggest we stick with either/or throughout.

Students excel in national and international academic competitions

At Abbey College Cambridge we believe in challenging our students to achieve beyond the traditional curriculum. Our students have a proud record of success in national and international academic competitions such as the British Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology Olympiads. In 2020 Abbey College Cambridge produced the UK’s top-ranked Chemistry student.

House system encourages competition, fosters pride and builds friendships

Our house system ensures that our students are well supported, looked after, and have the opportunity to grow and develop in a safe and secure environment. Regular house events and activities allow students to build friendships and create a strong community ethos.

Online Learning

The best option is always to join in person for your studies, but we understand in the current situation that may not be possible.

That’s why we are offering students starting with us in January 2021 the option to begin their studies remotely. Learning online, you’ll attend the same classes, with lessons delivered by the same world-class teachers as students who are attending in person. Our colleges have become leaders in online learning, and we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and learning opportunities for our remote students.

You can join us remotely for the first term of your studies, and then join us in person for your second term from April 2021.
