Mike Corbett

Chief Executive Officer

In his role as Chief Executive Officer of Abbey DLD Group of Colleges, Mike has overall responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of the entire group, working with internal and external stakeholders to drive progress across the organisation. He works closely with the Board and Governors to support the colleges in the delivery of first‑class education.

Mike joined the Abbey DLD Group of Colleges in 2013, following a successful 20+ year career in the software publishing industry. On joining the Group, he spent 11 years at Abbey College Cambridge as Director of Operations and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. During this period, he played a key role in the college’s strategic growth as its reputation for excellence expanded both locally and internationally. He was instrumental in the conception, development and relocation to the college’s outstanding new campus in 2016. In the summer of 2022, Mike took on the role of Interim College Principal for two terms, before handing over to Dr Elena Hesse in Spring 2023.

In 2023, following a group restructure, Mike led the commercial and operational establishment of Abbey DLD Colleges Ltd., creating and leading the new Head Office team that supports the three colleges as they operate today.
