Saleh Ahmed

Group Head of HR

Saleh joined the Abbey DLD Group of Colleges in 2023 and oversees the HR function across all three colleges. He is a CIPD‑qualified HR professional with a BSc (Hons) in Economic and Social Policy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, bringing 15 years’ HR experience in the education sector.

Previously HR Manager at The Collegiate Trust, Saleh was the strategic lead for the People agenda across a large multi‑academy trust. He has also held HR leadership roles at The St Marylebone Church of England School and the Gipsy Hill Federation, gaining extensive experience in organisational change and restructures, complex employee relations and HR system implementation.

In his current role, Saleh is responsible for the Group HR Strategy, supporting organisational development and workforce planning. He provides expert support to senior leaders and oversees HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, payroll, pensions and HR systems.

Outside work, he enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with his family.
