David Lowe read English at Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge, where he was a Choral Exhibitioner. He later studied solo singing at the Mozarteum Music Academy in Salzburg, Austria.

After a career in independent schools, as teacher, head of department, and deputy head teacher, he was appointed Principal of Cambridge Tutors College, Croydon, in 1997, steering the college to international success and recognition.

David Lowe was appointed Principal of DLD College in 2008. He is a team inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate, a trustee of UKCISA and board member of the British Council’s Education UK Partnership.
