2026 brings outstanding Foundation results across the Abbey DLD Group of Colleges

Students across the Abbey DLD Group of Colleges are celebrating another year of exceptional success after achieving outstanding results in the 2026 International Foundation Programme.
The results reflect the hard work and determination of our students, together with the expert teaching and personalised support provided by staff across Abbey College Cambridge, Abbey College Manchester and DLD College London.
Students achieved an impressive average overall grade of 71%, significantly above the grade required to successfully complete the programme and progress to university.
Performance at the highest level was particularly impressive. One third of students achieved an overall grade of 80% or above, while more than half of all students achieved 75% or higher. These outstanding results place students in a strong position to progress to leading UK universities, with destinations expected to include King’s College London, The University of Edinburgh, the University of Bath, the University of Manchester, the University of Bristol, the University of Sheffield and University of the Arts London (UAL).
Also amongst this year’s cohort, 12 students across the three colleges achieved exceptional overall grades of more than 90%, an outstanding accomplishment that demonstrates the academic excellence and commitment shown throughout the year.
Outstanding pathway performance
Students excelled across a wide range of specialist academic pathways, achieving consistently strong results:
- 74% average grade on the Biology and Medicine pathways
- 72% average grade on the Social Sciences pathways
- 71% average grade on the Business pathways
- 71% average grade on the Mathematics pathways
These results demonstrate the strength of the Abbey DLD Group’s specialist foundation curriculum, which prepares international students with the academic knowledge, English language skills and independent learning abilities required for success at university.

The International Foundation Programme provides international students with a recognised pathway to undergraduate study at leading UK universities. Through small class sizes, expert subject teachers and personalised university guidance, students are supported throughout their studies and university application journey.
This year’s results continue the Abbey DLD Group’s strong track record of helping ambitious students secure places at highly ranked universities across the UK in subjects including Medicine, Business, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Creative Arts and Mathematics.
